Kiosk Volunteers

Become a Guilford Preservation Alliance Information Kiosk Volunteer!
The Kiosk at the Information Plaza, 32 Church Street, is open from Thursday through Monday, 10 am to 4 pm, during the season from May to October. It is staffed by volunteers, who each take a three-hour shift. The Guilford Preservation Alliance (GPA) sponsors the Information Plaza.
The volunteer on duty welcomes visitors and helps them plan their visit to Guilford, providing information and supplying brochures and maps. Visitors have come from far and wide, including many from other countries. With the help of our Interactive Computer outside the Kiosk, volunteers help provide information ranging from places to eat, historic museums, hiking trails, local sites, and even where to launch a canoe or boat! Visitors also learn about our Walking Tours on Saturdays and Sundays and our anytime Self-Guided Tour around Guilford’s historic Town Green.
Our volunteers enjoy meeting our visitors and helping them decide how best, depending on their interests, to experience our beautiful town. We provide a short training period in the Spring to acquaint our volunteers with the Kiosk and Interactive Computer.
