150 Years in the Making…Plus One!
It is not often that a family owned and run businesses can hit such high milestones like ourselves! Here at Bishop’s we are not only proud of what we have accomplished since 1871, but even more proud and privileged to have had the support of our community for so many years. As a thank you to all our patrons, Bishop’s Orchards wants to invite members of our community to help celebrate 150 years in business… PLUS ONE! This celebration has been a long time coming, with dates getting pushed back due to the pandemic. We are now FINALLY making up for lost time, PLUS MORE!
The Bishop’s Orchards 150th Plus One Celebration will be held May 21st at the Little Red Bar[n], located at 1355 Boston Post Road in Guilford. Gates will open at noon and will feature attractions for both adults, children and families throughout the day. This event is open to the public with FREE ADMISSION! Early arriving guests will receive complimentary gifts (while supplies last). The celebration will kick off with an opening ceremony, followed by a day filled with the following activities:
- Free wagon rides through our apple blossom orchard
- Free face painting for kids
- Live Music
- Raffles and Giveaways
- Animals and Donkey Rides
- Seminars on cider making, herb planting and wine tastings
- Kids activities… and more!
This entire weekend marks the opening of the The Little Red Bar[n] for the season. May 21st we will have “Take Two” performing from 2-5pm and “FB Lily” headlining from 7-10pm. The Little Red Bar[n] Shed will be open all day and night, serving adult and kids beverages that include apple cider slushies, froses, Connecticut wine and craft beer. Try some of our new BBQ lunch and dinner options that will be available at our NEW BBQ Shed, or get a wood fire pizza from the Naples Food Truck. Our signature food items like our Maple Kettle Corn and Apple Cider Donuts will be available on the festival grounds, as well as in the farm market. The Creamery will be open all day and into the night with our live bands.
