70 years ago, an era that had lasted for over a half century ended in Connecticut. The last day of passenger trolley service in New Haven was on September 25, 1948.
Each summer, the Shore Line Trolley Museum celebrates New Haven County with “Hometown Thursdays.” Every Thursday in June, July and August, we’ll be celebrating a town in New Haven County with free resident admission on that day. Today we’re celebrating the towns of Guilford and Madison. Just present your valid resident ID or driver’s license.
