Palumbo’s Automotive and Guilford Town Green on Discovery’s Velocity Channel

Guilford’s Palumbo’s Automotive and Town Green to be featured on Discovery’s Velocity Channel on Tuesday, July 24.

In June of 2016, a segment for Chasing Classic Cars was filmed in Guilford. In the segment, host Wayne Carini visits Palumbo’s to meet with Peter Palumbo to inspect and test drive a 1953 Nash Healey roadster for a client. The scene will appear in the episode that will air on July 24th.

Premiering in 2008, Chasing Classic Cars follows Ferrari expert and master car restorer Wayne Carini on his personal mission to uncover, restore and sell some of the world’s rarest and most unique collector cars. Chasing Classic Cars currently airs in over 73 million homes nationwide on Velocity and  across Discovery’s family of brands in over thirty countries worldwide.

Jim Astrausky, the series creator of Chasing Classic Cars, was a Guilford resident in his high school days and then again in 2011 until his unexpected passing in 2017. Producer and Director of CCC Hannah Lintner is a Connecticut native  and has been a Guilford resident since 2006.  Wayne Carini is also a Connecticut native and a good deal of the show is filmed locally at his shop, F40 Motorsports in Portland, CT.
