Ecology of the West River Guided Walk

Come seine netting with GLCT Director Ted Mankovich and GCLT Advisor Susan Ward (917-864-4249). Did you ever wonder what swims in the West River? We will take turns using a seine net to catch fish, shrimp, crabs, and much more. We will be in the river so dress for muddy muck! You will get wet and muddy. Closed toed water shoes are a must. Feel free to bring your own net. Meet at Olmsted Outlook, at the end of Broad St.
Please meet 10 minutes ahead of hike start time. Leashed dogs may attend hikes, unless otherwise stated in descriptions above. Heavy rain will cancel.
