Guided Hike at Northwoods

NEW 120+ ACRE ACQUISITION! Explore GLCT’s recent acquisitions, the 120+ acre Bartlett Land Preserve and a smaller inholding with GLCT Director Bill Bloss (203-623-3434). This will be a long walk of about five miles, and the trail goes up and down the mountain twice, not technically difficult but, for Guilford, this is a long walk. We will see deep ravines carved into the rock, and wetlands teeming with amphibians, on one of Guilford’s largest undeveloped areas. Meet at the Cooks Lane trailhead beyond the intersection with Whispering Woods Rd. Rain date May 15th, 1:00 pm. Leashed dogs are welcome.
