Guilford Fair Parade

In these trying times when our primary concern is for the health and safety of all, it has been difficult to predict whether it would be safe to hold large gatherings, such as a parade, in the fall. While it was announced earlier this year that the 2021 Guilford Fair Parade would be cancelled, with the increased number of people who have been vaccinated and the revision of CDC and state guidelines, we are delighted to announce that the Guilford Fair Parade will be held on September 18, 2021.
We would like to extend you an invitation to participate in the 2021 Guilford Fair Parade, as either a member of a marching unit or as a spectator. The theme of the parade will be ‘Moving Ahead To The Future’.
To APPLY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PARADE, please complete and submit the Application, including the release form, ASAP, but no later than September 1, 2021. Click on “Application” above to complete the registration information. If your unit includes a motorized vehicle, a Certificate of Insurance must also be provided by September 1, 2021. We request marchers be in the Line of March by 9:00 a.m. The spot where your marching unit will assemble can be located by pairing the number your group is e-mailed the week of the parade with the same number that will be written in chalk on Whitfield Street (or a nearby side street) the morning of the parade. Marshals in red vests will be available beginning at 8:00 a.m. to help you find your assembly location.
