Local author, Jean Baur, found a new sense of belonging from her partnership with a wild Lab/Terrier/Whippet mix who was rescued from Dead Dog Beach in Puerto Rico, just as she’d lost her job. Bella helped Jean build deep relationships with nursing home patients, brought her to the front lines of the battle against cancer as Bella comforted chemo patients, and connected her with special needs children in their work in schools. Meet Jean and Bella and pick up a copy of their book.
