MESSAGE FROM GUILFORD ART CENTER
- This event has passed.
March 16, 2020 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Given the many concerns regarding the coronavirus, Guilford Art Center is closing for 2 weeks, effective Monday, March 16, 2020, for the safety of our students, public, instructors and staff, and to do our part to help “flatten the curve.” We will reassess this decision in 2 weeks, heeding the guidance of public health officials, and keep in touch with you via our email messaging and social media accounts about plans and scheduling going forward.
All classes and workshops scheduled for the coming 2 weeks are cancelled and students will be offered credits or refunds.
We hope to hold a shortened spring semester of classes, but are not sure at this point if that will be possible. We will compensate students for a shortened number of instruction hours, or will provide full credits or refunds if the semester is cancelled. We will also keep you informed of the reopening of our gallery and shop.
Ceramics students are requested to NOT stop by the studio to pick up work from the winter semester. We will hold work in safe keeping until a later-to-be-determined pick-up date. We want to minimize traffic in the studio and school, as many of our students and instructors meet the guidelines of those potentially most severely affected by this virus.
We will be working remotely for the next 2 weeks, including checking email and phone messages, so please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions. We will do our best to answer them in a timely fashion. Email is the best way to stay in touch.
Thank you for your patience. We are missing you, but look forward to seeing you all again soon, together, creating art and community. In the meantime, be well. And remember that creative pursuits of all sorts can be a balm during trying times.
