NEW GLASS, NORTHEAST\
This exhibition includes works by all artists who work in glass, in any technique, and including both functional and non-functional works. The show aims to reflect the best current explorations by contemporary artists who live in the Northeast.

Juror: Amy Schwartz, Director of The Studio, The Corning Museum of Glass. Founding director of The Studio, Amy Schwartz has been the leader in making her museum home to one of the top-rated glassmaking schools in the country, as well as an international innovator in educating the general public and serious glassmaking students about the science, history, and art of glass. She has brought many of the world’s leading glass artists to teach and create work, and has forged ties with the Murano community, enriching programs across the Museum. She also has launched several residency programs, created video series used at museums and educational institutions around the globe, and created workshops for more than 60,000 annual museum visitors. A glass artist herself, Ms. Schwartz is a board member of the American Craft Council, BerlinGlass, Northlands Creative, among other organizations. She has a B.A. in mathematical science/computer science from the State University of New York at Binghamton and a Master of Science in Leadership in Museum Education, Bank Street College of Education, in New York, NY.
