November 12, 2016 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Come learn about about opportunities for outdoor educational programs in the US and Canada available to high schoolers. Finn Anderson attended an outdoor/educational program based in New Hampshire for second semester high school juniors (boys and girls). Along with 12 other high school kids, the students hiked, canoed, rowed, and bicycled 600 miles up the entire state of VT, down Lake Champlain, and across VT/NH camping as they went. They studied the VT history, the people, and the land while traveling through it and took classes in science, math, English, and history.

Finn Anderson has grown up in Guilford. He fishes, hikes, and camps locally. He has also hiked 600 miles of the Appalachian Trail through New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New York. He is currently finishing his senior year at Guilford High School.

Michael Anderson, Finn’s dad, is also an avid hiker accompanying Finn on the Appalachian trail hikes. Michael has also bicycled 4,000 miles across the United States.
