Rain date Sunday August 28, 2022

St. John’s Episcopal Church, 129 Ledge Hill Road, North Guilford, CT will be celebrating its 275th anniversary this year.  An exciting part of our festivities is the 4th Annual Bluegrass Festival on Saturday August 27, 2022 (with a rain day of Sunday August 28, 2022).

“Amber Anchor” is our headliner and “On the Trail” and “Grass Routes” will be jamming, as well.

To make the event extra special this year we have invited Austin Scelzo to hold his “Pete Wernick Method” (jam instruction) class prior to the beginning of the Festival.  Austin is President of the Connecticut Bluegrass Association and will not disappoint with his top notch bluegrass session the day of and prior to the event start time. Additionally, for the first time ever, we will have an open jam session where paid guests can bring their own instruments and jam with other musicians during intermission.  Experience is not necessary.

The event will take place in the beautiful serene hills of North Guilford, CT.

We are located right off Rte 80. Take Long Hill Road and turn onto Ledge Hill at the top of the hill next to our neighbor, North Guilford Congregational Church. Hot dogs, soda, water and roasted corn on the cob will be available for purchase. Bring your own picnic and chairs to this family event.

Wernick Method Bluegrass Jam Class taught by Austin Scelzo 2-4 pm $30 fee

Bluegrass Festival 4-7 pm $20 children under 12 free
