“The Sound of Music” with Tom Lewy at the Guilford Free Library

Tom Lewy will present a program on the Broadway musical by Rodgers and Hammerstein, “The Sound of Music.” The program will include recorded selections from the musical along with background and commentary.
Lewy trained at the Mannes College of Music in New York. He has a Master’s Degree in Opera from the Manhattan School of Music. He made his Carnegie Hall debut in 1965. Tom has served as Cantorial Soloist in major synagogues including Madison, Connecticut; he has taught Opera Appreciation at the Jewish Community Center of New York.
