GUIDED WALK
Join GLCT Director Ted Mankovich (203-453-4415) and local botanist Lauren Brown for a Botanical Inventory Off Trail Hike of a special section of Westwoods. Composed of dense wetlands surrounded by fertile woodsy uplands, many deep woods species thrive. We pretend we are professionals and attempt to name as many species as we can. Hopefully some card carrying botanists can join us so the woods can ring with the Latin lilt of botanical names. We should be able to find the American Chestnut there. Meet at the end of Three Corners Road. Park on street only. A bit of bushwhacking through the woods but not particularly difficult or of great length. Rain date Sunday May 13th 10:00 a.m.
