Yale Science Communication presents a virtual talk on “Taking the Good from the Bad: Transforming Afflictions into Treatments.”

Pain is a quintessential part of the human experience. But would it surprise you to discover that affliction can sometimes be the key to relief? As we cover transforming venoms into pain medications, repurposing drug side effects into new treatments, and using pathogens to produce life-saving vaccines, join us in exploring how the things that ail us can provide unexpected paths to recovery.

Watch a brief video about the program here.

Yale Science Communication (or “YSC”) is a graduate student organization that aims to ignite scientific engagement across diverse communities and train effective science communicators in the broader Yale graduate and postdoctoral community.
