Our Mission:

The Women & Family Life Center in a non-profit organization that empowers women and families to face challenges and transitions in their lives with strength and confidence within our safe and intimate setting on the Connecticut Shoreline. Through our programs and resources the Center ensures that:

• Women and families in crisis move to new strength
• Life transitions become a time of positive change rather than a time of isolation, fear, and financial distress
• Women and families are able to access a strong network of support, education, and community

Who We Are & What We Do:

The Center is located in Guilford, Connecticut and has been serving Shoreline women and their families since our founding in 1991. Our dedicated staff and volunteers help women and families through our diverse services and programs. We are committed to guiding individuals through difficult times and helping them reach their full potential.

In addition to helping women and families in crisis, the Center is the only provider on the Shoreline that offers comprehensive programming that helps to educate and empower women and girls. These include divorce support, pro-bono legal education, financial education classes and innovative leadership programs for girls that promote and teach self-esteem, self-care and healthy relationships.
